Who We Are

The Cretan Association of the Carolinas was incorporated in 2001 by a few Charlotte based families with Cretan heritage and pride for the islands’ traditions and values.  Our mission was to follow the footsteps of the Pancretan Association of America (PAA) and unite the Cretan families in the Carolinas.  After an exhausting search of North and South Carolina, as well as Georgia, enough families were gathered and in December of 2001 the Association was formed.

Today the Psiloritis chapter has over 110 members and growing.  We recently started our very own Youth chapter (PYA) and has hosted an array of different cultural events over the years.  We continue to support a number of philanthropic efforts.​
